Doug Osmond and his friend, Adam Robertson, have partnered up to present an excellent idea. They decided they wanted to do something entertaining for families. An event where they could come together, play, and have fun. From this idea evolved another to raise money for foundations that help families.
“There was something missing in Utah. You have all these celebrations on the 4th, and then it kind of dies off,” says Doug. “So we decided to start another family tradition of fun in a safe environment.”
The excitement starts with a “Blast of the Bands” beginning at noon on Friday, plus a family talent contest after that. There will be inflatable play stations from Extreme Sports, food vendors from Hogi Yogi to Black Jack Pizza, and some of your children's favorite characters!
Giveaways will be happening all throughout the event, so you don’t want to miss that. Those include M&M Mars candy, bottled water, one thousand free passes to Seven Peaks, trips to Tuacahn Theater in St. George which shows include “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Annie Get Your Gun.” The big giveaways include trips to Disneyland and a free car!
Special guests include Sky 2, the Channel 2 News Team, and Skydivers. A concert Saturday night will feature Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band, Colors, and Peter Brienhold.
Fireworks both nights at ten!
Proceeds for this fun-filled weekend will go to benefit One Heart Foundation, Summitview Foundation, and National School Fitness Foundation.
“We just want everyone to come and enjoy themselves with their family and friends. It’s free to the public, or $5.00 for a wristband for all events,” says Doug.
So come out to the Orem City Center Park on Friday and Saturday, July 26th and 27th. Enjoy the summer family fun!
