December 28, 2002- What are you doing New Year's Eve?
No, that's not just a song Donny once sang, it's an invitation to join several Osmonds at Provo's First Night Celebration! First Night Provo provides a multitude of activities that cater to people of all ages, so that families can enjoy this holiday together in a clean and safe way, no matter what the weather. First Night Provo is the grand finale of the WinterFest celebration which includes a Christmas Parade and Lights On Ceremony in Downtown Provo, around the corner of University Avenue and Center Street. Events this year will be on-stage entertainment, an art exhibit, and a special performance by The City Cowboys (including Doug Osmond) currently tentatively scheduled to appear at 11:00 p.m. on the main stage. At midnight, the highlight will be the fireworks and the ball drop at the exact stroke of the New Year. Nathan Osmond is one of the chairs hosting the event. We hope to see you there for some fun, some good cheer and to ring in 2003 with some Osmonds!

December 16, 2002- Did you see Donny & Marie on T.V. this weekend?
Donny appeared on The Today Show on NBC on Friday, December 13th along with his band featuring a tune from his latest CD, Somewhere In Time and a favorite from his holiday CD, Christmas At Home. Marie was on the weekend edition of Entertainment Tonight discussing her post partum depression (seen previously) but with some new updates, including the upcoming singing career and first musical release from her son, Stephen Craig.

December 1, 2002- Good News! We are pleased to announce that Merrill's new book, Let the Reason Be Love, will ship earlier than expected. The books are now scheduled to be shipped on Monday and Tuesday, Dec 2 and 3. For orders placed too late for this first shipment, a second mailing will go out by December 14, as previously announced.

November 25, 2002- A charity event, Provo Towne Centre's Evening of Giving, is being held on Friday, December 6th at the Provo Towne Center in Provo, UT from 9:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The City Cowboys (with Doug Osmond) will be performing at this celebration, along with other fun acts, free appetizers from local restaurants, and special discounts from participating local stores, amongst other fun things...like running into several other Osmonds while you are there!
The cost is $5.00 and if you purchase tickets early, the proceeds will benefit One Heart. (Other charities are involved in this event, so paying at the door will not assure a donation to One Heart.) If you'd like to attend contact Jenni Wallace to make
arrangements for pre-purchased admission tickets. Hope to see you there....and help out One Heart as well!
November 24, 2002- Great news for 2ndG fans!
On Tuesday November 26th we will be having a Backstage chat with Scott Osmond of the Second Generation as he returns from his 2 year mission in Paraguay! The chat will take place at 7pm MST. Please come to show Scott how much we missed him!
November 15, 2002- A message from Alan:
Hello everyone,
This is Alan. I have been trying to update a new store (thefamily.com) and keep up to date with what is going on. My special thanks to everyone who helps with our web sites. (You will hear more from me real soon.) I can see that some communication challenges with our email has happened from time to time. Yes, we changed servers and activated new software for the store. Many of the rough areas happened because certain passwords were needed to re-established and new gateways were opened but needed some tweeking.Thank you all for hanging in there with us. There are also a few new Osmond sites poking their heads up. I have always supported individual members of my family to get more involved. I hope you all know that I have linked to them and supported them from the beginning. I hope you will continue to keep in touch with all of us through the Osmond Network.
We have some new features and services that we are developing and hope you like them. They will be coming out soon. Also, thank you for supporting the store and One Heart Foundation. All funds from sales and donations go to the charity and hopefully it will enable us to continue to bring you helpful family products and content. I will be checking in more often. I AM most interested in your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks! Alan

November 9, 2002- Many customers are reporting zip code errors when trying to place an order in TheFamily Store. This problem seemed most prevalent for those
ordering from outside the USA, where postal codes did not fall within
the parameters of our system. We have now extended our zip/postal code
range and believe the problem has been resolved. We ask those of you
receiving a zip code error to please try again. We very much appreciate your patience as we work to identify issues within our new system.

The City Cowboys (with Doug Osmond) will be on Good Day Utah on Fox 13 from 5am-9am on Wednesday, November 13th during Allie MacKay's segments that day, aired in the majority of Utah. Also, the band will be performing at Summerhays Music on State Street in Orem that night. More details coming soon!

November 7, 2002- In launching the new TheFamily Store, we experiencing some technical difficulties in the ordering process. Many of you are receiving error messages of one sort or another.
We'd to ask everyone who is trying to order Merrill's book or other products, to please bear with us while we
work out all the issues. Our technical team is working to address the
issues and our support staff is working to assist customers with their
concerns. For those of you who are on the reseve list for a signed copy of Merrill's book, please be assured, your autographed copy will still be on reserve as we work through the problems. We appreciate your patience as we seek to correct the problems. Additionally, a guestbook entry from Alan also addresses the problem: Hello everyone!I have been dropping in on various guestbooks and forums. I am trying to follow up on any problems with the new store. We will make sure that the transfer to the new server gets complete and fix anything that is not working well. I really like our team of designers that made the store and hope you will visit there. We will add more products as soon as we are rolling forward.

November 6, 2002- The Osmond Network and One Heart Foundation are pleased to announce the opening of TheFamily Store. Here you will find The Plan, The Millenium Collection, I Love America, and other Osmond Favorites.
The Osmond Store has been permanently closed. The Osmond Network has donated all of its
commercial entities to support the One Heart Foundation in its mission to strengthen families. All proceeds from TheFamily Store go to the One
Heart charity. The product list for TheFamily Store is not yet
complete--new products are being added daily. In addition to Osmond
products, you can look to TheFamily Store for a products in support of families. We thank you for your patience and support during this transition. For those anxiously awaiting Merrill's book--it is available for purchase; however, it is not expected to ship until mid-December. We have a limited number of autographed copies available, if they are ordered BEFORE December 1st. After that date, autographed copies of the book will no longer be available through our channels.

October 30, 2002- We apologize for all the difficulties related to the server during Doug and Tiffany's chat. Unfortunately, all technical difficulties were not worked out before the chat was scheduled. Thanks to those present for their unending patience, even when the featured guests were booted and couldn't reenter! October 27, 2002- We expect that the Osmond.com store will be open for business in the near future as we put finishing touches on the transition. We will be publishing an update on Merrill's book
release within several days. Those who have submitted their names to the reserve list will receive an e-mail when we are ready to take their orders. Once again, we thank you for your continued patience.

October 25, 2002- Alan will be featured as a special guest at a Multiple Sclerosis seminar held at the Holiday Inn located in Hudson, OH on Saturday, November 16, 2002 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Dr. Robert Lisak, Professor and Chair of Neurology of Wayne State University
will also speak about MS therapies, as Alan discusses his life and coping with MS.

October 24, 2002- Jon Osmond, who is currently serving his mission in Brazil, sent us an update through his letters and emails. We continue to wish him well on his journeys.
