Family Night Ideas

I would love to share our family nights....yes nights! We have two family nights. On Fridays my husband and I and our three kids share our home with the family....and on Saturdays one of my brothers has family night at his house.

At my house, it is a good meal and television or a movie and good talking. Sometimes crafts or baking something together. Sometimes one might want to pick up a guitar or sing a song!

At my brother's house we might get take out food and all the younger kids (and they may even get us to do the same)! play outside if the weather is nice and then some of the family makes up a stage and either dances to music or sings for us.

We really have a blast just being together! Whether it is my home or my brother's house we never are bored whatever age our kids are. One night you might even catch us playing twister..there is always something going on.

Sincerely,
Rosemary

We like to look at photo albums and share memories, play board games. Then a good pizza at a local establishment.

Sincerely,
Jean

My family doesn't have a family night we have a a Family Ladies brunch/dinner every month. On the first Saturday of the month all the female members of our family used to get together and have brunch or dinner at a resturaunt or a family members house and talk, after a few years it stopped happening, but thanks to myself and my cousin, Kelly, we have started our tradition back up once again.

It gives us a time to get back in touch with each other that we may not be able to see as much as we like to and we can share what has been going on in our lives and with our family.

I am also in charge of producing a newsletter to mail out after each gathering to mail out to those who attended and to those who was not able to attend to let them know what has been going on. Along with the newsletter, Kelly & I will be gathering from a different family member whether be male or female their favorite story, memory, pasttime, or have them share something that impacted thier life or who has made a difference in their life.

This is a great family tradition that Kelly & I are proud to have up and going again. To us this is a great way for the family to get back in touch and become stronger.

We will meet again on October 4th and will have photos from that time and will be working on our famiy newsletter.
