Kermit, Osmonds, Drew Carey and Others to Get Their Star

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - The TV stars picked to be honored over the next year in Hollywood's Walk of Fame include: Beau Bridges, Drew Carey, Kermit the Frog, KTLA Channel 5 newscaster Larry McCormick, the Osmond family, Isabel Sanford ("The Jeffersons") and Suzanne Somers from "Three's Company."

Stars are given in five categories: TV, Film, Stage, Radio and Music, and "Saturday Night Live" comedienne Gilda Radner will receive a posthumous TV honor.

"This year's honorees met all the criteria in longevity, professional achievement and contributions to the community," said Johnny Grant, chairman of the Walk of Fame Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Martin Scorsese, Etta James, Kevin Bacon, Susan Sarandon and Robert Duvall are among entertainers who will be enshrined in the Hollywood Walk of Fame along Hollywood Boulevard in ceremonies to be scheduled over the next year.

The 2003 Walk of Fame recipients in the film category included Bacon, Duvall and Oscar winners Sarandon and Scorsese.

Michael Bolton, James, Carole King, Israel Lopez "Cachao" and Earl Scruggs will be honored in the recording category and live theater performers included Betty Garrett, Doris Roberts and Carmen Zapata.

Posthumous stars will be dedicated to husband and actor Gene Wilder in honor of Radner, for television, and Richard Rodgers, for live theater.

Recipients were chosen from hundreds of nominations and ratified by the Chamber's Board of Directors.
